The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing payments from customers, providing change and receipts, and maintaining a clean and orderly checkout area. You will also be expected to assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have and ensure that their shopping experience is pleasant and efficient.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and provide prompt service at the checkout counter
- Scan items accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct prices are applied
- Process payments using cash registers or other forms of payment such as credit cards or mobile wallets
- Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accurate amounts
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cleaning the conveyor belt, bagging area, and payment terminal
- Answer customer questions regarding pricing, product availability, or store policies
- Handle returns or exchanges according to store policies
- Upsell products by informing customers of current promotions or discounts
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed
