Blast Furnace Operator


As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of a blast furnace, which is used in the production of iron and steel. This role requires strong technical knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining blast furnaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the flow of materials into and out of the furnace
- Adjust temperature, pressure, and other variables to ensure efficient operation
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times
- Record and maintain accurate production data

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a blast furnace operator or similar role in the iron and steel industry
- Solid understanding of furnace operations, including temperature control, fuel injection, and slag removal
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of basic troubleshooting techniques
- Physical stamina to work in a hot and physically demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols

Salary: $1000 per month

Location: Nairobi, Kenya (foreigners welcome)

Employment type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Experience level: Entry level (no experience required)

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in blast furnace operation. However, candidates without experience but with relevant education or training will also be considered. Training may be provided for selected candidates.
