Blast Furnace Operator



We are currently seeking an experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in the bustling city of Nairobi. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining blast furnaces in order to produce iron and steel.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as a Blast Furnace Worker, with a strong understanding of the blast furnace process and equipment. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnaces according to specified processes and procedures
- Monitor furnace operations, including temperature, pressure, and chemical composition
- Adjust furnace controls to maintain proper temperature levels
- Inspect equipment for any potential malfunctions or issues
- Perform routine maintenance on blast furnace equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical problems that may arise during operation
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metallurgy is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Blast Furnace Worker or similar role
- Strong understanding of blast furnace processes and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in hot environments for extended periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict procedures

This position offers a competitive salary of $1700 per month, along with opportunities for career growth within our company. Please note that this position is suitable for men only, as it requires physical labor.
