Interpreter - English to Swahili


We are currently hiring an experienced English to Swahili Interpreter to join our team. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English and Swahili speakers in various settings such as conferences, meetings, and other events.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide accurate interpretation services from English to Swahili and vice versa
-Ensure smooth communication between parties by maintaining cultural sensitivity and professionalism
-Act as a language specialist by providing cultural insights and explaining any linguistic nuances
-Translate written documents as needed
-Research industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate interpretation
-Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted conversations and documents
-Follow company guidelines and protocols for interpreting services

Requirements:
-Minimum of 2 years experience as an interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
-Bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation or related field is preferred
-Native or near-native proficiency in both English and Swahili languages
-Proven ability to translate accurately and quickly
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to different speaking styles
-Familiarity with industry-specific terminology
-Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Salary: $1200 per month

Location: Balzers (remote work may be possible)
