We are hiring a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to join our team in Karachi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing library resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, organizing library materials, and maintaining an inviting and functional library space.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, organization, and maintenance of library resources such as books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and online databases
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries by providing guidance on effective search strategies and locating relevant resources
- Organize library materials using appropriate classification systems
- Ensure the accuracy of cataloging records for all library materials
- Maintain an inviting and functional library space by keeping shelves organized and ensuring a clean environment
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and engage the community in the use of the library
- Stay updated on new information technologies related to libraries and incorporate them into daily operations when appropriate

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Proven experience working as a Librarian or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of cataloging principles and classification systems
- Familiarity with information technologies used in libraries such as online databases, e-books, etc.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist patrons from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours.
