Database Administrator

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Braga. As a member of our database team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our company's databases. You will also handle database updates, backups, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Create and maintain backups for disaster recovery
- Create and maintain database security protocols
- Develop data models and design database structures
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure data integrity across systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra

Salary: Starting at 900$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Braga, Portugal (visa sponsorship available)
