Waiter/Waitress for International Restaurant in Nairobi


We are seeking experienced waiters/waitresses to join our team at an upscale international restaurant in Nairobi. As a waiter/waitress, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. This is a contract job with the potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers, take food and beverage orders, and provide recommendations if needed
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while adhering to proper serving techniques
- Ensure tables are properly set with silverware, glasses, and napkins before guests arrive
- Monitor table turnover and communicate any delays or issues to the kitchen staff
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, etc.
- Assist with opening/closing duties as needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Minimum education level of 12 pass or equivalent
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
