Android Developer

We are hiring an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Faroe-Islands. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Android platform and be able to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly and innovative solutions. The salary for this position is 1800$, without accommodation. A biometric passport is required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

Requirements:
- Proven working experience in Android app development
- Proficient with Java and Kotlin programming languages
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards and best practices
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Published at least one original Android app
- Familiarity with continuous integration
