Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and executing effective merchandising strategies to increase sales and profitability. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and trends, and use this information to make informed decisions about product placement, promotions, and inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising plans that align with company goals
- Monitor sales performance and make adjustments to merchandising strategies as needed
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences
- Collaborate with the sales team to determine product assortment, pricing, and promotions
- Ensure that products are displayed attractively and according to company standards
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available at all times
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability
- Train and supervise retail staff on proper merchandising techniques and standards

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in retail merchandising or a similar role
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer behavior
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis purposes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Location: This position is based in Dar Kulaib but may require occasional travel within the country.

Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract Type: This is a contract position with the potential for extension or permanent employment.
