Instrument Technician

A reputable company in Washington is seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instruments and control systems used in industrial settings. You must have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instruments and control systems according to technical specifications
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments and systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- Read technical drawings and manuals to understand system components
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on projects and repairs
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Familiarity with instrumentation software such as SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)
- Experience working with pneumatic or hydraulic control systems
