Blast Furnace Operator


A blast furnace operator oversees and operates the machinery and equipment used in a blast furnace to produce iron from iron ore. The job requires working in a hot and noisy environment, with frequent bending, lifting, and climbing. This position is suitable for men who are physically fit and able to work long hours.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow of materials in the furnace
- Regulate fuel, air, and raw material inputs according to production requirements
- Observe gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper operation of equipment
- Inspect equipment for any malfunctions or defects
- Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace environment preferred but not required
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a hot and noisy environment
- Ability to work long hours on a rotating shift schedule
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely

Location:
This job is located in Zagreb, Croatia.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.

Contract Type:
This is a contract job with the possibility of extension based on performance.
