Contract Librarian in Herning, Denmark


We are currently seeking a Contract Librarian to join our team in Herning, Denmark. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.

As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, ensuring that all materials are properly cataloged and easily accessible. You will also assist patrons with finding information and provide recommendations for books or other resources.

In addition to your daily duties, you will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects such as creating displays or hosting events to promote literacy and reading within the community.

This is a contract position with accommodation provided. Candidates must have a biometric passport and must be legally eligible to work in Denmark. This job is open to both men and women.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in Danish and English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library collection
- Catalog new materials using appropriate systems
- Assist patrons with finding information and making recommendations
- Plan and execute events or displays promoting literacy within the community
- Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the library space
- Participate in special projects as assigned by supervisor

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is 1700$ per month.
