Executive Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are a luxury hotel in Sofia seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef with expertise in Indian cuisine. As the head of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus for our Indian restaurant, as well as overseeing the production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and breads for all dining outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus for our Indian restaurant, ensuring authenticity and innovation in flavors and presentation
- Supervise pastry team members, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure consistent quality and productivity
- Order and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus that complement each other's cuisines
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, techniques, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for menu planning, scheduling, ordering, and inventory management
- Creativity in developing new menu items while maintaining traditional flavors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
Salary: 1300$ per month. This is a full-time position based in Sofia. Candidates from India are preferred but all qualified applicants are welcome to apply.
