Head Baker
We are a well-established bakery in the beautiful city of Funchal, seeking an experienced and skilled Head Baker to lead our team and oversee the production of high-quality baked goods. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing treats while managing inventory, training staff, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute daily production plans for breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
- Ensure all products meet our high standards of taste, appearance, and consistency
- Train and supervise bakers on proper techniques, recipes, and safety procedures
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health codes
- Collaborate with management on menu development, pricing strategies, and special orders
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a professional baker
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to train staff and collaborate with management
- Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
Salary: $1800 per month
