Surveying Technician
As a Surveying Technician, you will be responsible for assisting land surveyors in conducting surveys and collecting data on land and other features. Your main duties will include setting up survey equipment, taking measurements, and recording data for analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining survey equipment and ensuring its proper use. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist land surveyors in conducting surveys and collecting data
- Set up survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Take accurate measurements of land features using various tools
- Record collected data using computer software or handwritten notes
- Perform calculations to determine coordinates and other important information
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly
- Ensure proper use of survey equipment by following safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and share information
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions to collect data
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in surveying is preferred
- Proven experience as a Surveying Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in using total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and other surveying tools
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts such as geometry and trigonometry
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina to work outdoors for extended periods of time
Location: This position will be based in Roskilde, Denmark.
Salary: 1800$ per month.
Contract: This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.
