Mine Operator - Mombasa, Kenya


Our mining company in Mombasa, Kenya is seeking a skilled and experienced Mine Operator to join our team. As a Mine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery used in the extraction and transportation of minerals from our mine site. This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and dump trucks to extract minerals from the mine site
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment at all times
- Conduct pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and your team
- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate mining operations
- Monitor production levels to meet daily targets and report any issues to management
- Adhere to environmental regulations while carrying out mining operations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mine Operator or in a similar role
- Knowledge of operating heavy machinery used in mining operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals for equipment operation and maintenance
- Physically fit with the ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of time
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment

Preferences:
- Kenyan nationality or current resident of Kenya preferred
- Proficient in English language for effective communication on site
