Plasterboard Worker

Our well-established construction company in Akron is seeking a skilled Plasterboard Worker to join our team. As a Plasterboard Worker, you will be responsible for installing and repairing plasterboard walls and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in plasterboard installation and repair, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install plasterboard on walls and ceilings
- Repair damaged plasterboard by patching or replacing sections
- Install insulation behind plasterboard
- Apply joint compound and tape to seams between plasterboard sheets
- Sand down rough areas and ensure smooth finish
- Follow safety procedures while working at heights on scaffolding or ladders

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in plasterboard installation/repair
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Basic understanding of tools used in the trade

Preferred:
- Experience with other aspects of construction such as framing, drywall, or painting
- Valid driver's license
