Computer Systems Analyst
A computer systems analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems that meet the technological and business needs of an organization. This role requires a strong understanding of both technology and business processes in order to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and analysis to understand the current systems and processes in place
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their needs
- Designing new or modified systems to meet business requirements
- Evaluating hardware and software options, making recommendations based on cost, availability, and functionality
- Creating detailed technical specifications for system changes or upgrades
- Overseeing the implementation of new systems or system changes, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget
- Testing systems to identify any issues or bugs, troubleshooting as needed
- Providing training to end users on new systems or system changes
- Documenting all system changes and updates for future reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Experience with project management tools and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Faroe Islands (own visa required)
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Nationality: Open (must have valid work visa for Faroe Islands)
