Data Analytics Specialist

As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to provide valuable insights and support business decision-making. You will work closely with various teams to understand their data needs and develop strategies to acquire, clean, and organize data from multiple sources. Additionally, you will use various tools and techniques to perform statistical analysis and create visualizations that effectively communicate findings. You will also be responsible for identifying trends and patterns in the data to inform business strategies and make recommendations for improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Collecting, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing large sets of data from multiple sources
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop strategies
- Performing statistical analysis using various tools and techniques
- Creating visualizations that effectively communicate findings
- Identifying trends and patterns in the data to inform business strategies
- Making recommendations for improvement based on insights gained from the data
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field
- Proven experience working with large datasets
- Strong proficiency in SQL or other database querying languages
- Experience using programming languages such as Python or R for statistical analysis
- Knowledge of data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear manner

Preferred Requirements:
- Master's degree in statistics, mathematics or related field
- Previous experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms such as Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure

Location: Funchal, Portugal (with accommodation provided)

Salary: $900 per month (part-time position)
