Surveying Technician

As a Surveying Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the collection and analysis of data related to land surveys. You will work closely with a team of surveyors to gather information using specialized equipment, such as total stations and GPS receivers. Your duties will include setting up and operating surveying instruments, recording measurements, and performing calculations to generate accurate maps and reports.

To excel in this role, you should have strong attention to detail and excellent math skills. You must also be familiar with surveying techniques and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous experience or education in surveying is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surveyors in collecting data for land surveys
- Set up and operate specialized surveying equipment
- Record measurements and take notes
- Perform calculations to generate maps and reports
- Maintain accurate records of collected data
- Communicate with team members to ensure project goals are met
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on job sites

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferably with courses in math or geography)
- Previous experience or education in surveying preferred
