Indian Pastry Chef in Nizwa
Are you a skilled Pastry Chef with a passion for creating delicious desserts? Our five-star hotel in Nizwa is seeking an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our hotel's restaurant and banquets. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality desserts that meet our guests' expectations.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant
- Excellent knowledge of different pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Ability to create unique and visually appealing dessert presentations
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Experience managing inventory and ordering supplies for the pastry kitchen
- Proficient in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Indian nationality preferred
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and present various types of pastries, cakes, breads, and other desserts according to menu specifications
- Develop new recipes based on seasonal ingredients or guest requests
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including scheduling staff, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients
- Manage inventory levels for pastry supplies and place orders as needed
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and assistants
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of desserts for restaurant service as well as banquets and events
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of our pastry offerings through experimentation and innovation
