A shipbuilding company in Svalbard is seeking a skilled Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape metal parts for ships. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Turner in a shipbuilding or related industry
- Proficient in using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting heavy parts
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools to cut, shape, and finish metal parts according to specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Maintain machine tools by performing regular maintenance and repairs
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine proper machining processes
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on material type and job requirements
- Monitor production process for quality control
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
