Pastry Chef - Esbjerg, Denmark

Our busy restaurant in Esbjerg, Denmark is in need of a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As our Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our dessert menu, as well as assisting with pastry items for our main menu.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new dessert menu items that align with our restaurant's style and standards
- Prepare and present desserts according to recipes and plating guidelines
- Ensure all pastry items are of the highest quality and presented beautifully
- Manage inventory and ordering of necessary ingredients and supplies
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques, including traditional Danish pastries
- Excellent time-management skills to meet high volume demands while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Creativity and passion for creating unique desserts that will impress our guests
- Good communication skills to effectively work with other kitchen staff members
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in Pastry Arts preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Pastry Chef
- Experience working in fine dining restaurants is preferred
- Danish or Scandinavian nationality is preferred but not required
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
