Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Mombasa


We are currently seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our luxury resort in the beautiful city of Mombasa. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's culinary operations and ensuring the highest level of quality and service for our guests.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end or luxury resort setting
- Extensive knowledge and experience in various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have a strong attention to detail and be committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the resort's culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain cost-effective practices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations throughout the resort
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings
- Manage food costs by maintaining portion control measures and minimizing waste

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Valid food handling certificate required
- Experience working with international cuisine is an asset
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage)
- Must be able to obtain necessary work permits for non-Kenyan candidates

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month for this position.
