Preservation Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural history, materials, and techniques, as well as the ability to balance preservation with modern functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation work
- Develop preservation plans and oversee restoration projects
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation work meets safety and building codes
- Research historical significance of buildings and structures to inform preservation efforts
- Document all preservation work for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in historical preservation
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong research skills
- Ability to balance preservation with modern functionality
- Fluency in Norwegian is preferred
