Preservation Architect - Os, Norway



We are seeking a highly experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while maintaining their original character and significance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other architects to ensure the preservation of these valuable structures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for projects, taking into consideration the building's historical value, materials used, and current condition
- Prepare accurate drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Collaborate with project managers to oversee the implementation of preservation plans
- Communicate with engineers and contractors to ensure proper techniques are used for preserving historical structures
- Monitor progress of projects and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of all preservation projects

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles and techniques
- Experience working on restoration projects for historical buildings
- Proficient in CAD software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail
