Shaper - Woodworking Craftsman

As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and crafting wood into various products such as furniture, cabinets, and decorative items. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to create high-quality, aesthetically pleasing pieces. You will use a variety of tools and techniques to shape and mold the wood, including saws, sanders, routers, and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use various woodworking tools to shape and mold wood into desired products
- Read and interpret blueprints or design plans to ensure accuracy in shaping process
- Measure and mark wood according to specifications
- Operate saws, sanders, routers, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Assemble finished products using appropriate adhesives or fasteners
- Sand down rough areas or imperfections in the wood for a smooth finish
- Apply stains or finishes to enhance the appearance of the wood
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shaper or similar role in woodworking
- Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
- Ability to read blueprints or design plans accurately
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs)
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Creativity in designing unique pieces from wood materials

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Bungoma, Kenya (open to Canadian citizens or foreigners with valid work permits)

Working Hours: Part-time (flexible schedule)

Experience Level: Entry-level/No experience required
