Claims Adjuster
As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and evaluating insurance claims to determine the extent of the company's liability. You will review policy coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements with claimants. Your main goal will be to ensure fair and efficient resolution of claims while protecting the company's assets.
Responsibilities:
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage for various types of claims
- Investigate accidents, property damage, and other incidents to gather information and evidence
- Evaluate claimant's statements and documentation to assess the validity of their claims
- Consult with experts such as lawyers, engineers, and medical professionals to gather additional insight on complex claims
- Negotiate settlements with claimants in a fair and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all claim activities and decisions made
- Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other parties involved in the claim process
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in insurance policies
- Participate in training programs to improve knowledge and skills related to claims adjusting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in insurance adjusting
- Proven experience in handling insurance claims
- Knowledge of insurance policies, laws, regulations, and procedures related to claims adjusting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
- Proficient computer skills
- Biometric passport preferred
Salary: $1600 per month + accommodation
City: Nakuru
