As a Temporary Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant in Lahore. You will work closely with our team to create and implement menus that showcase the best of local cuisine while also incorporating international flavors. This position is ideal for a skilled and experienced chef who is looking for a temporary role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus for our restaurant, ensuring high quality and freshness of ingredients
- Train and manage kitchen staff, setting expectations for performance and maintaining a positive work environment
- Oversee food preparation, including portion control, plating, and presentation
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen at all times
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Keep track of food costs and make adjustments as necessary to maintain profitability
- Handle any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a reputable institution preferred but not required
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that appeal to customers with varying tastes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Extensive knowledge of international cuisines, including Pakistani cuisine, is highly desired
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards for food quality
