Plasterboard Worker

A plasterboard worker, also known as a drywall installer or taper, is responsible for installing and finishing plasterboard on walls and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings. This job requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work with hand and power tools. The ideal candidate should be able to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately. The job may involve working at heights and in various weather conditions. This is a contract position in Braga, without accommodation provided. Candidates must hold their own visa for working in the country.

Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install plasterboard on walls and ceilings according to blueprints and specifications
- Tape joints between panels and apply joint compound to create a smooth finish
- Sand, trim, and smooth excess compound from joints
- Install corner beads and metal studs as needed
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
- Work at heights using ladders or scaffolding
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a plasterboard worker or similar role
- Physical strength to lift heavy panels of plasterboard
- Knowledge of hand and power tools used in drywall installation
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Attention to detail for creating smooth finishes on joints
- Safety-oriented mindset when working at heights or with power tools
- Good communication skills to follow instructions from supervisors

Salary: 1100$ per month.
