Entry-Level Librarian

Are you a lover of books and seeking to kickstart your career in the field of library science? We have an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Librarian in Roskilde, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of our library's collections, providing excellent customer service to our patrons, and supporting the overall operations of our library. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library materials
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons
- Promote library services through outreach activities and events
- Assist with collection development by recommending new titles and weeding out outdated materials
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the library space
- Help with circulation tasks including checking out materials, issuing library cards, and collecting fines
- Collaborate with other library staff to plan and implement programs and services for all age groups

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Passion for books, reading, and promoting literacy
- Excellent communication skills in both Danish and English (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of library systems or willingness to learn
