We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team in Faroe-Islands. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for providing library services to our patrons, including cataloging, circulation, reference, and collection development. This is a contract position that does not require prior experience, making it the perfect opportunity for students looking to gain practical library experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out materials
- Provide reference services and assist with research inquiries
- Create engaging displays and programs to promote library resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to promote library services
- Select and purchase new materials for the library's collection based on patron needs and interests

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in using library databases and other technology
- Knowledge of current trends in literature
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and evolving library needs

Compensation:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month. Accommodation is not provided; however, we offer free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses.
