Preservation Architect

Our architecture firm in Mauren is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, while incorporating modern design elements. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, creating preservation plans, and overseeing the restoration process.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of historic preservation guidelines and techniques
- Familiarity with CAD software and other architectural tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess the condition of historic buildings
- Create preservation plans that meet the requirements of local historical societies and government agencies
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of restored buildings
- Incorporate modern design elements into historic structures while maintaining their original character
- Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to preservation plans and timelines
- Prepare reports and documentation for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies

This is a contract position with a salary of $1600 per month. While we prefer candidates with experience in preservation architecture, we are open to considering recent graduates with a strong understanding of historical preservation principles.
