Construction Project Manager
As a Construction Project Manager, your role will be to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects in the city of Svalbard. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project from start to finish, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing project plans and schedules, including resource allocation and budgeting
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction projects
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or delays
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment
- Providing regular updates and reports to upper management on project status, budget, and potential risks or delays
- Resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the course of the project
- Making decisions regarding changes in project scope or schedule as needed
To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience as a Construction Manager or similar role. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred. Your experience should include managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
As this is a contract job, you must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills are also essential as you will be working closely with various stakeholders throughout the project.
