Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of baked goods and pastries for our bakery in Ar-Ruwais. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of baking techniques and be able to work with precision and attention to detail. Your creativity will be valued as you develop new recipes and add your own flair to traditional favorites. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month, along with accommodation provided. Indian nationals with an own visa are preferred for this role. Fluency in English is required to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and pastry tools
- Create visually appealing pastries by decorating with icing, glazes, or other toppings
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are cooked at the correct temperature and time
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for daily production
- Develop new recipes or adapt existing ones to incorporate local flavors or dietary restrictions
- Ensure quality control by regularly tasting products for freshness and consistency
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff in pastry-making techniques
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a commercial kitchen setting
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while also adding your own creativity
- Strong time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work neatly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
