Senior Accountant



We are a leading accounting firm located in Utena, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily financial operations of our company. Your main duties will include preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets and financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations
- Oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Train and mentor junior accountants on proper accounting procedures
- Develop financial reports for senior management as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
