Commercial Architect - Svalbard
The Commercial Architect will be responsible for designing and planning commercial buildings in Svalbard, ensuring that they are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and in compliance with local regulations. They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and budget constraints, and will oversee the entire architectural process from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements for their commercial building project
- Develop detailed plans, blueprints, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ensure that all designs comply with local building codes and regulations
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that the project runs smoothly
- Monitor progress on construction sites to ensure that the project is being executed according to plans and specifications
- Make any necessary revisions to designs based on client feedback or site conditions
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and other expenses related to the project
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on the progress of their project
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial architecture projects
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software and other design tools
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations in Svalbard
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Proven track record of successfully completing commercial projects within budget and on schedule
