Database Administrator



We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Lisbon. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate backup and recovery strategies
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in regards to database management
- Provide technical support for database-related issues to other teams within the company

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
- Experience in database design, development, testing, and implementation
- Knowledge of database security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to databases
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python or Java
- Certification in Database Administration

Salary: 1700$
Location: Lisbon (accommodation provided)
