Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
The Head Chef for Indian Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and menu development at our restaurant in Sheduva. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new Indian-inspired dishes that are both traditional and innovative
- Oversee and manage the overall operation of the kitchen including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and lead kitchen staff to ensure high quality and consistency in food preparation
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and ordering to maintain budget and profitability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment according to health codes
- Collaborate with management to plan menus, events, and specials
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in an Indian cuisine restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional dishes
- Ability to create new dishes while also maintaining traditional flavors
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
