Gardener Assistant

We are hiring a Gardener Assistant to join our team in Funchal! As a Gardener Assistant, you will work alongside experienced gardeners to assist in maintaining and cultivating beautiful landscapes for our clients.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planting, pruning, weeding, and watering plants and flowers
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and shovels
- Help with the installation of new plants and landscaping features
- Clean and maintain garden beds, paths, and other outdoor areas
- Monitor plant health and report any issues to senior gardeners
- Follow safety protocols while working with tools and equipment
- Help with general maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary; we are willing to train the right candidate!
- Passion for gardening and willingness to learn new skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from senior gardeners
- Good communication skills (fluency in Portuguese is a plus)
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends if needed

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month.
