Executive Chef

As an experienced Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and culinary operations in our high-end restaurant in Funchal. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences through creative and innovative menus, high-quality food preparation, and efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:
- Create and design menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and appeal to its target audience
- Plan and manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budget goals
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared with high quality and in a timely manner
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality
- Collaborate with management team to develop new menu items or special promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Monitor food quality and make adjustments as needed to meet guest expectations
- Stay updated on industry trends, new ingredients, cooking techniques, and equipment

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience/training preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different cuisines and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with a passion for bringing new ideas to the table
- Understanding of food costs, portion control, inventory management, and budgeting
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends

Salary: $1000 per month

Location: Funchal (no accommodation provided)
