Database Administrator


As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's database systems in Vilnius. Your main task will be to ensure the secure and efficient operation of our databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring database software
- Creating and managing databases
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing for efficiency
- Maintaining data integrity and security
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
- Ensuring data backups are performed regularly
- Collaborating with other teams to design and implement new databases or modifications to existing ones
- Performing database upgrades and migrations
- Creating documentation for database processes and procedures
- Providing technical support to end-users

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL language and relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, data encryption, and security protocols
- Familiarity with database design principles and data normalization techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an asset:
- Certification in SQL or Oracle databases
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Microsoft Azure SQL Database

Location:
