Librarian - English-Speaking

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As an English-speaking Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting literacy and reading programs within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Plan and facilitate literacy and reading programs for all ages
- Promote library services to the community through outreach events and social media
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs and services
- Stay current on trends in library science, technology, and literature

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging, and classification standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for helping others
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month for this full-time position. While this job does not require English proficiency, it is preferred.
