Junior Preservation Architect


A fast-growing architectural firm in La-Condamine is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Preservation Architect to join our team. This is a contract position with a starting salary of 1800$, ideal for fresh graduates or those without prior experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior preservation architects to develop and implement plans for preserving historic buildings and structures
- Conduct research on materials, construction techniques, and historical significance of buildings
- Create detailed drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Assist in preparing project proposals, budgets, and timelines
- Monitor construction progress to ensure preservation methods are being followed correctly
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure project goals are met

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (Master's preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of historic preservation principles and techniques
- Ability to conduct thorough research on historical buildings and materials
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or work experience in historic preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation
- Experience working with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or Rhino
