Job Title: Executive Chef - Lisbon, Portugal
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You must have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect current food trends
- Ensure all menu items are prepared and presented according to company standards
- Oversee food purchasing and inventory management to maintain cost control
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and sanitation procedures
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with health codes and regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to create new dishes while also executing classic recipes with precision
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Biometric passport required for international travel
Salary:
Salary for this position is $1600 per month. Compensation may be negotiable based on experience.
