Librarian - Abu Dhabi, UAE


We are currently seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a contract position for an Indian national with their own visa and without the need for accommodation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Managing and organizing the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials
- Assisting patrons with finding and checking out materials
- Maintaining library records and cataloging new acquisitions
- Developing programs and events to promote literacy and reading within the community
- Ensuring the library is clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors
- Collaborating with other librarians to improve services and resources offered by the library

Requirements:
- Indian national with own visa in Abu Dhabi
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Passion for books and knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is preferred but not required
