Kenyan Chef - Sharjah, UAE


We are seeking a talented and experienced Kenyan Chef to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and authentic Kenyan dishes that will delight our customers. You must have a strong knowledge of Kenyan cuisine and be able to adapt traditional recipes to suit our restaurant's menu. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen and hold a culinary degree or equivalent certification. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and training junior staff members. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Kenyan dishes according to restaurant's menu
- Ensure high quality and consistency of all dishes served
- Manage inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients
- Train junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items
- Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Kenyan cuisine including traditional recipes and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Must be able to legally work in Sharjah without sponsorship
