Executive Chef
We are a well-established restaurant in Ajman, seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food production and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create new menus and dishes, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures
- Conduct regular menu tastings to maintain quality standards
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in food preparation techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create innovative menus while also maintaining classic dishes
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food cost control techniques
- Experience managing kitchen staff from diverse backgrounds
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Certification from a recognized culinary institution is a plus
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
Salary: $1700/month (tax-free) plus benefits
