Carpenter


As a carpenter in Al Ahmadi, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. Your role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling structures using hand and power tools. You must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a carpenter and possess the necessary skills to perform the job effectively. This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$, which includes accommodation. A valid biometric passport is required for this role. This position is suitable for men who are fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints and specifications to determine type of materials required
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares, or marking gauges
- Cut or shape materials to specified measurements using saws, chisels, or woodworking machines
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim according to specifications
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other wooden structures
- Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glasswork, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures
- Perform finishing touches such as sanding and staining on completed projects

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a carpenter
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications accurately
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as saws, chisels, drills etc.
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
- Physically fit with good manual dexterity
- Attention to detail with an eye for precision
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English
