Radio Technician - Hawalli, Kuwait

A reputable radio station in Hawalli, Kuwait is seeking a skilled Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all radio equipment. Your duties will include troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance checks, and providing technical support to on-air staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radio broadcasting technology and possess excellent communication skills. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain all radio equipment including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and audio consoles
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal functioning of equipment
- Provide technical support to on-air staff as needed
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in radio broadcasting technology and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment inventory and repairs performed
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in electronics or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Radio Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of radio broadcasting technology including transmitters, receivers, antennas, and audio consoles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport required for non-Kuwaiti nationals

Salary: $1000/month (tax-free)
